I have prepared this box to give away on my 1 year blog anniversary. The winner will get a matching card and the altered box below. Inside of the box are several pieces of Hardware from the Stampin up Hardware boxes in all 3 colors (brass, antique and silver) those pieces are not available anymore. Most of them you have seen on my cards before.. i really love them and i have purchased several boxes before they got retired. STAMPAVIE has also kindly sponored two stamps (new Rachelle Ann Miller stamp and a Christmas Sarah Kay

stamp) for my candy. If you like to play along please come and visit me on my blog Pretty Pressings

Stamp: Sarah Kay by STAMPAVIE

some may recognize the tin.. it is usually kind of like a turquoise blue - i spray painted the tin first with metal gold and than added the K&Company paper to the top and glued the ribbons on.

Thank you for looking i hope i could inspire you to not only use those fabulous images on cards.. they make fabulous altered gift items as well

Hugs Claudia

A sneak peak of coming Sarah Kay-

I adore this adorable image, and a sneak peak of what will soon be available! That doll just reminds me of my sisters Raggedy Ann doll… I didn’t have one, but man sharing a room with her I saw alot of that doll. This cards sketch is from this past weeks Magnolia Vs. Stampavie challenge Blog. If you haven’t checked it out you give it a try! Fun challenge with great prizes. And we get a chance to use our favorite Stampavie Stamps!

I have colored with Copics, and white gel pen. The pattern papers are all from K&Company’s Classic K Collection. I sewed down the half circle and used lace and ribbon for the band across the top. Then placed Prima flower and fun flower shaped buttons.

Thanks so much - and for more details you can visit my personal blog Donkey Smiles.

Iam sure you recognize this image… the very cute Sarah Kay image is water colored and the the snowflake DP is raised with pop up dots so the card has more like a frame feel to it. Hard to see on this picture but i used lots of twinkeling H2O colors to make it sparkle.

If you would love to win 2 stamps (1 Christmas Sarah Kay stamp and 1 Rachelle Anne Miller stamp) kindly sponsored by STAMPAVIE… please come and vist me over on my personal blog: Pretty Pressings

I love to watercolor the Sarah Kay images! I heat embossed the image first with black detail embossing powder and than colored the image with Stampin up reinkers in. On the bottom of the horizontal patterned paper i used a Martha Stewart punch that embosses and punches at the same time - i think the pattern looks nice with the corner die cuts from the Cuttlebug.

Embellishments: Rasperry Ribbon kit
Some hardware: not good to see but one says “handmade with love” and a heart.

Sarah visits the Zoo!

Michelle Oatman
October 29th, 2008

So this weeks challenge at the Sarah Kay Challenge Blog is to use Animals with Sarah. There are so many wonderful images that already have animals in them, so really the challenge is wide open! But I wanted to bring in an animal to mine, and found a wonderful giraffe ribbon head from Offray!

I started out by stamping my Sarah Kay image and coloring her with my Copics and cut her out with my Fiskars fingertip craft knife. I then stamped the Magnolia Brick wall stamp and colored it with Copics as well, then cut it out. I cut a piece of the cloud pattern paper from Cosmo Cricket and pulled lots of my Catseye inks and my Rubbernecker Kitty Kit Cause for a scene stamps, these are fabulous little nature items to build a background… I adore these! I worked them, and created the tree and the ground in lots of colors.

My giraffe head is attached with glue dots, then the wall with pop dots. The Sarah Kay is then attached 1/2 with pop dots and 1/2 with adhesive so she looks as if she is standing on the corner of the wall. I added a few tiny Prima flowers to the grass, and then needed a sign for the Zoo… otherwise we wouldn’t know why there was a giraffe with his head over the wall. I found a Martha Stewart journal tag, I thought the cut outs around the edge looked a little like fancy iron scrolls, I hand wrote the word Zoo.

I hope it brought a smile to you, as I had a blast with this one!
