So which are your favorite animals? I LOVE turtles and I was so happy when Stampavie released Rachelle’s cute “Playtime” turtles. Are they cute or what? They remind me on our turtles Willy and Yoshi. They were looking like these two guys, one small and the other one big! Unfortunately our Willy (the bigger one) died in January 2009.

I used wonderful Bazzill cardstock and Cosmo Cricket pattern paper for my card. Of course I had a baby card in mind when I colored this image. But then I thought that I don’t need a baby card now and I made a “normal” greeting card. The German sentiment means “love”. I stamped it onto a QuicKutz tag and added it with foam pads and Scrapper’s Floss. I also added Nellie Snellen flowers and branches which I punched out.

I colored the cute turtles with my Albrecht Duerer watercolor pencils from Faber-Castell. Don’t you think that they have an autumn touch? *lol*. But I like how they turn out and I hope you’ll like them, too.

Hello! Today it’s my turn again to share a Stampavie card. :0) And here’s what I’ve created to share.

I love the look of the clean & simple cards! But boy, oh boy….sometimes I really struggle with them. I don’t even want to admit how long it took me to make these…lol. I kept fiddling with them off and on for a few days. But I liked how they turned out in the end.

I chose to use the cupcake image from Rachelle Anne Miller’s Cakes Are Yummy because I wanted to show how versatile it can be. These can be used for a masculine or a feminine card and look great! Some of the same papers that were placed on the card were also used to paper piece the cupcake bottoms. And then I pierced the paper in lines and circles to add a finishing touch.

As I was uploading this photo, I realized that I must have picked these Rachelle Anne Miller images to use sub-consciously. I have been thinking about my dear friend who passed away last year a lot lately. This Thursday it will be 1 year and I still miss her. She loved to have tea and I’ll never forget having tea with her one night when she was ill. I think she would have liked this card!

I was also thinking that these images would be perfect for a Mother’s Day card. It’s just around the corner! Do you have any special plans?

Hello! How are you today? I hope you like our daily inspiration here on the Stampavie DT blog. Did you already join in the current challenge? We would love to see your ideas for our recipe!

Now to my new card. On Saturday I got my Distress refills. Yes, I bought 13 colors and just had to try the wonderful tutorial from Camilla S. Bakke. I decided to try them out with cute Lily Magic Fairy by Rachelle Anne Miller.

And then I made a foil card with the image. I stamped the Stampendous! flowers with Staz On Opaque Blush Pink. I already started with a tutorial for foil cards but I first have to finish everything until I can share it with you. Both border punches are from Martha Stewart, the cardstock is Bazzill. Oh and of course I added some ribbons, flowers and used my Spellbinders *grin*.

Yes and it’s Monday Delight Day today, so I am giving away Rachelle’s “Lily Magic Fairy” on my blog this week! Come over and leave a comment if you want this stamp =)

CHA SAMPLES DAY 4

Today is my turn to share some of the samples I made for the CHA, and I’m sharing some Helz Cuppelditch cards with you.

My first card is Ruffles Puppy Plaque – don’t you just love the look on his face lol. I have used Bo Bunny papers and the wonderful Rachelle Anne Miller sentiments.

My second card is Loopy Lops Gift Box – love that name! I’ve gone with pretty pastel colours for this cute littel bunny and have again used a Rachelle Anne Miller Sentiment.

And my last card for today is Coco Cat Flowers – I’ve used MME Bloom and Grow papers to match with the bunch of flowers in the image.

This is one of my favorite of Rachelle Anne Miller’s images. It is called Lily- My Little Friend. And I thought this sentiment went really well with it! Rachelle’s images go so well with all of the fun papers out there too, don’t they?

The inside reads….”it’s your birthday!” But it could also be used for many other occasions.

Well, the sun is finally shining today! We have had so many cloudy and rainy days lately. It is great to see the sun! So I am off to get some work done. Have a great day!

Hello! I took a break today from planting flowers to finally take a pic of this card I recently made. We still have a few more flowers to plant…..are you done planting?

This image is from the new Rachelle Anne Miller collection and it’s called Giving Shelter. I decided to go a bit crazy with the color of the flower and just make it a fun, cheery card.

The Prima flowers actually match the color of the flower in the image better than the camera showed. The color of the Orchid card base is a little off too. Sorry about that! Sometimes it’s hard to get the camera to cooperate. ;0)

I pulled out some retired papers from quite a few years ago for the layers. I’m surprised that I still have some of those old packs left and I need to make a point of using them up!

Guess What?!

Stampavie had a Sketch Challenge that no only was I late for, but I obviously can’t follow other peoples sketches very well! I somehow veer off and just do my own thing in one way or another. OH! WELL! It was a start it this creation:

Guess What

Are you familiar with the book :Guess How Much I Love You? by Sam McBrateny?

Its my 4yo daughter- Amber’s favorite, and I always get teary reading it. Its definitely a MUST HAVE book for the family.

Well its about a mommy bunny and her baby bunny, and as they walk through the forest they talk back and forth. The theme for each page is Guess how much I love you? Then they go through and say how much, each time one out does the other.

In the end he goes through and says “I love you all the way to the moon, and back!” as the little one falls asleep in the mommy’s arms. Its so sweet.

Well, Amber says to me-about a literal 20 times a day -randomly

“Mommy Guess what?!”

me-What?

You wanna know how much I love you?

I say “How much? This much (and I make a tiny amount with my 2 fingers)?

She says “NO! I love you THIS much (and stretches her arms as long as they will reach) and to the moon an back! And when I get bigger, I’ll love you even bigger.”

Then she takes her hugely (yet little) stretched arms and wraps them around me with a big squeeze.

AWE! That melts my heart, and no matter what is going on, in that moment, I just stop and enjoy the squeeze at my legs. Its the best feeling in the world. I know this won’t last forever, so I am just cherishing it.

So I made her this card-so we will always remember this time (I HOPE!)
