Christmas card

I’m not usually fond of pink for Christmas. I’m a reds, browns and blues kind of girl when it comes to this holiday. But these stamps are so cute, they really call for some pink, don’t you think?

I’ve used the “Mouse” stamp from the Rachelle Anne Miller Christmas collection, a text stamp from Papirloftet, Nestabilities, paper from My Mind’s eye, Making Memories hollies, and snowflakes from Maya Road and Heidi Swapp. And it’s kind of hard to tell from the picture, but the image is colored with Glimmer Mists.

Make the most of your stamps!

While this is a stamp from the lovely Christmas collection, I thought it would be perfect for an autumn card. I love to find other purposes for stamps and embellishments than what they were originally meant for.
So take a look around in your stash! Can you convert some Christmas stamps into a motif for a regular card? Give it a try!

I’ve used: The Rachelle Anne Miller stamp “Cuddling”, autumn stamp from Papirloftet, papers from My Mind’s Eye, Basic Grey and Love Elsie, Nestabilities, bling and flowers from Prima, an old music sheet (with the perfect title!), lace and some string.

I used for this card a sketch that can be found at the Friday Sketcher blog. Since the sketch asked for a more horizontal image i was more than happy to use one of the cute Christmas Rachelle Anne Miller stamps! I used my Copic Air Compressor to color in the background with B 000 Copic marker and the ground in several light browns.. this way i did not had to bother to mask the moose.

If you like to see more of my cards please come and vistit me over on Pretty Pressings! Thank you and a have a wonderful weekend. ~ Claudia Rosa ~

Lily Magic Fairy

This card was made with the sketch from A Spoon full of Sugar Challenge Blog. I was excited to use another Rachelle Anne Miller image. This is Lily Magic Fairy, isn’t she pretty. Love that ladybug! I colored with my Copics, and then high lighted with White Gel pen. Of course her wings are then stickled, they had to have some bling. ;0)

For my card I used an American Crafts card base, pattern paper is DCWV matted with a light purple and inked the edges of everything. My dots to follow the sketch are Doodlebug brads, they have sparkle too. For the bands on both sides, I stacked two ribbons, first a light purple satin, then a polk-a-dot green. The sentiment is a ticket stamp from Autumn Leaves, stamped in purple on a scrap of the purple card stock then used Fiskar’s scissors for the torn edges.

This was a different card, for me, all the straight lines, no swirls, flourishes or flowers. That is the fun in joining in on Challenge Blogs - to step outside of our box! Hope you enjoyed it!

I love the Christmas collection from Rachelle Anne Miller! Here is the first card that I’ve made with the moose:

I’ve used the “Moose” stamp by Rachelle Anne Miller, a “Christmas greetings” stamp from Papirloftet, Nestabilities, lace, Heidi Swapp chipboard heart and ghost snowflake, Making Memories holly, die cut snowflakes and an old music sheet.

Cheers to you

oh my gosh.. i got the new Rachelle Anne Miller stamps and how cute are those? :-) i love them all. My first pick was this image .. at first i was not sure if i should color the blanket in orange but than i decided to keep the tone more in the earth tones and rather use the brither colors “Tangerine Tango” for the mat. The size of these images are perfect for the Nestabilities which makes the cardmaking so much faster - especially now since we all want to get our Christmas cards for family and friends ready!

Lily is colored with my Copics, Spica Glitter Pens and white gel pen, cut with my circle Nestibilities and a larger circle for the mat from the same card stock as the base. The pattern paper is a sheet from K&Company, yes that is the reverse side… oh I love that! I cut the flower side to fill the card, the plaid side I cut the two bands. I inked the edges of everything with dark brown, then sewed it all down. The lace is also sewed down, and yes.. it sagged in one section and once sewed down… sigh its attached and no moving it. I attached 6 prima flowers, spacers and mini brads for some frill as well. The sentiment is form Hero Arts and I stamped on a scrap of the card stock and used the smallest Fiskar’s Circle Squeeze Punch.
