The first one is a card with Michelle’s Li’l Donkey, a sweet digi image drawn by Tina Wenke. Click here to find out how you can download this image and at the same time, help raise money for Michelle. We appreciate all of your help and support! And also thanks to all of you who are posting on your own blogs to help us spread the word!

Is this Berry Sweet paper not fun? I love it! And this layout is great for using up scraps!

My second project is a corner bookmark. The directions to make these can be found here on the Splitcoast website.

I used one of my Lelo Designs images called Little Susie. Her dress is just perfect for paper piecing!

This is a great project for pulling out your punches! They really add a lot to the finished project.

I hope you are staying cool wherever you are. We are having hot, hot, hot weather! Not good for trying to get projects done outside. LOL.

Have a fabulous day…stay in and stamp!

One of the things I love about stamping is that even though I see it as a career for myself, it’s also a part of our precious family time every day and I really love sharing it with the children. Now, I sometimes have to keep SOME of my supplies off limits LOL, so therefore, the children all have their own stash of papers, embellishments, stamps and ink.

I myself, have just reorganized my stamp area. I was talking to Heidi the other day online about how wonderful it felt to have a fresh Spring start and have everything where I can (finally!) find it again! One of the things I did was purchase a storage system for all my stamps. They are now organized by company and/or theme and put in binders on cling. I LOVE them. I then took some metal binder rings and made “index” rings for all the acetate sheets w/ the designs on them so I know what images i want to look for.

Where am I going with all of this, you ask? Well, the kids like to go through these index sheets and sometimes ask me to use a certain stamp. So, when my darling son Jack asked me to make something with the “Natural Boy” stamp from Lelo Design, how was I to say no? It’s such an adorable image and my son even drew me a SKETCH for it! How cute is that? You can see more about that sketch on my blog by clicking here.

One of my favorite things about ALL Stampavie images is how fun they are to color. This image was no exception as I thoroughly enjoyed coloring all the detail in with my Copics. Of course, since it’s me, the “girly girl” here I had to give it my own little touches of flowers and butterflies…but DS approved and has been eyeing this card ever since. His birthday comes up at the end of this month…wonder what he’ll be getting in an envelope ?

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful, stamp-filled day! I am having such a wonderful time designing for all of you and I am just so grateful to Heidi and Stuart for having me! Hugs….. ~Jessica

Stampavies Lelo Design images called “Roses for You”. Now who could resist that frog with all of those roses? He is colored with my Copics, and then I used Stickles on top of the flowers. Roses just need a bit of bling.

The base is a Bazill white card stock and for the pattern paper it was a great chance to use one of my new stacks. This is from the new K&Company’s Cut-n-Paste designer pad. I cut the circle with a Circle Cutter but don’t have a scallop that large, so I just winged it.. placed the circle on the white card stock and cut around it with my Fiskar’s scallop scissors. I inked the edges of both patten papers, and gel pen stitched the edges. My little frog was cut out and placed on the large circle. The sentiment is a Sizzix die – pretty cool huh? I forgot I got them last summer, got quite a few different ones as a set.. need to use them more they look great I think. I inked the edges of the words just a bit with light brown ink to shadow them more.

And how awesome is the vine? It too is a Sizzix die, one of their new 12 inch dies. I hadn’t even opened it yet – Well now that the package is open I think I should use it much more often! Inked around on the vine as well. And those flowers? Oh I just love them.. too pretty!

Hope you liked my fun, romantic little frog – I think he is just too cute for words!

This is one of the images from the Lelo Designs collection called Natural Boy. I thought it would be great paired with this “thinking of you” sentiment. This boy is just darling, don’t you think?

I pulled out my Basic Grey Porcelain paper again to make this card and this time I chose some of the more masculine patterns. I love this paper…I think it will be one of my favorites!

For the main image, I first stamped and colored it with Copic markers. Then I lightly traced a cup around the top of the image to the flowers. I cut along the traced line and then cut around the image on the bottom.

I thought the cute little butterfly brad in the top left corner would be a nice addition….that is until I lost one somewhere while I was working. I was on my hands and knees for a long time looking for it but no such luck. I was afraid that Riley (my puppy) would find it and want to eat it. *sigh*

Have a great day! I hope it warms up….I’m tired of the cold!

I really love this cute image with the Natural Boy from LeLo Design. It’s an own little scene and I really enjoy to color it. I used the wonderful Basic Grey Mellow pattern papers and so I came to the orange cardstock. Usually it’s not my color, but here I love it! The sentiment is from my own collection.

I just ahd to join in this one, I am soooo excited about Spring. You see personally Spring is a big thing for us. We own a plant nursery so this is our busy time, but more importantly Spring is when most of our Baby Donkeys are born… So we look forward to this all year! (Donkeys are pregnant 11-12 months.. scarey huh?) And I also love all the color of Spring! The new grass, leaves and flowers – well this guy just looks like he is enjoying it all – he is called “Natural Boy” isn’t he cute? He is one of the Lelo Design images. Her stuff is just adorable! This is my idea of enjoying Spring as well. Sitting and just taking it all in.. ahh.. except here there would be a Donkey pulling at me, or eating the flowers.

I have colored with Copics, and then used scraps of Bazzil dusty pink Swiss dots for the mat. The base of the card is also Bazzil Swiss Dots, a really rich sage green. The pattern papers are from Imaginisce, a new paper for me – but I really like it, very heavy and two sided. I matted all the pattern papers with the same pink Swiss Dots scraps, and then sewed everything with zig zag stitch after inking the edges with a light brown. The Sentiment “Celebrate Spring” is a one of those $1.00 stamps at Micheal’s. Punched a few of the EK Success Retro Flowers, with button centers, inked and high lighted with white gel pen. The a little gel pen stitching on the edges of the card.

There are a few close up photos on my blog, www.donkeysmiles.blogspot.com

Make sure to jump over to the main Stampavie page and click and see all of Lelo’s Designs.. they are so fun and cute!

I think the Chatterbox pattern paper with the circles is perfect for the image. I used the matching vanilla SU cardstock and turquoise ColorCore cardstock for my card.
My image is one of the new Lelo Designs, and is called “Hippo Birthday” isn’t that a cute name! Colored with my Copics, and then I added two metal corner brads, they really look pink here… they match better in person.

The pattern papers are My Minds Eye Laundry Line, yummy and glittery. I found a peach colored card stock for the base and for the band across the middle. I made two or three different bands for the middle and decided I liked this one best. Punched on both sides with one of Martha Stewart’s border punches. I dotted the edges of it with white gel pen, and then added a small satin ribbon in the same shades of the papers.

I distressed the edges of all the layers, I don’t do that very often, wowow what a mess… the puppy was rolling in paper fuzz! Had to grab her up quick and clean it up and off of me and her. Wow messy, but I like the lookon the card! LOL I used one of the Making Memories Distressing tools, safe – razor blade is inside of the plastic handle less likely to get injured, at least for me. I rubbed the razor over every edge of the card, all the layers and the image. Gives a great Fuzzy look to the edges.
Hope you enjoy my Hippo Birthday… I think he is a great image for anyones Birthday young or ahem old.

Make sure to take a look at all the great Lelo Designs – cute!

These kitties are part of the the Lelo Designs collection and are named “You Go First”, I don’t know why… but they are cute! I colored them with my Copics, then high lighted wtih white gel pen and dimensional glaze. This stuff is great to add well…. dimension to your image. The heart, the flower in the sentiment and parts of the cat are shiny and raised above the rest of the image. Wish that was better seen in the photo.

White cards stock is used for my base, with scraps of a dark Rosy pink as mats for the pattern papers and the image. Do you love those pattern papers? Oh they are just yummy and they have raised glitter on them too! They are from My Minds Eye Laundry Line – I am loving these papers. You know there are lots of stacks out there, and I love papers in them, but not many where I know every sheet will be used, this is one of them.

I cut the papers to match the sketch for the Spoon Full of Sugar sketch this week. The vertical band I punched the edge with my Martha Stewart Valentine scallop punch – hard to tell in the photo. Then everything is sewed down with a zig zag stitch and a pretty shiny light pink thread. The sentiment is from Studio G, one of those $1 sets from Michael’s, love it!

Hope you enjoyed it.. and make sure to check out the other adorable Lelo Design images!
