Lovin’ the Owls -

These two guys are just too cute for words! And the image is perfect for my new long Sizzix die of branches. The layout is a sketch at this weeks Magnolia Vs. Stampavie Challenge Blog. Image is colored with my Copics, including the blue background to match the American Crafts Card Base. I doodled all of the sparkles on the card to match the image’s sparkles. The Friends sentiment is also a Sizzix die cut. For more details you can find it on my blog HERE. Thanks for looking at my… little owls -

my prince charming

The Rachelle Anne Miller animal images are just darling…I love them!  Here I used the image called My Prince Charming to decorate a little gift box.  And I paired it with two of the flower images from the Dream Flowers backgrounds to stamp some coordinating tissue paper in pink and green.

The box is a wedding favor box that I picked up in a pack at the Dollar Tree store a few years ago.  The entire image was painted with Shimmerz paints and really sparkles in person.  I also painted the Prima flowers….you can see a bit of the Shimmer in the photo if you click on it to get a larger view.

Recipe Card Gift Pail

Michelle Oatman
October 21st, 2008

This week’s challenge at the Sarah Kay Challenge Blog is to make something with a Sweet Treat theme. Chocolate, candy, cookies or cakes … mmm good theme huh? Well I decided to go with a cookie recipe card, and of course I had to make up a batch and make a gift pail to match. Hubby was really happy that I “needed” them for the photo shoot.

I pulled out one of my clear paint pails, and decorated the inside of it with a piece of My Minds Eye “Tres Jolie” pattern paper, the red is the back side of the pattern… love that! I cut a circle out of it with my Nestibilites and then a scallop from the solid side to go around the circle hole. Now not that I planned it - LOL - but the circle I cut out fit the top perfectly… so I attached it to the lid then stacked three Basic Grey flowers and a vintage button. Tied some matching gingham ribbon to the handles for fun. I typed out the recipe, and then matted with the solid, it took to 4×6 cards to fit everything so I matted the second as well then attached them together with adhesive. I inked the edges of everything and then white gel pen stitched the edges. I colored one of the sneak peak Sarah Kay images “Pinic Time”… (is it adorable or what!!!) I colored it with my Copics and white gel pen, then cut it out and placed it on the front of my recipe card.

Hope you enjoyed my cookies… wish I could send them out to everyone… they are yummy!
