Hello stampers!

Here at Stampavie we’re very, very busy behind the scenes.

Pssssssssstttt…. don’t tell anyone, but four incredible illustrators have this month joined Stampavie and are right this moment busy drawing the cutest stamps ever! Add to that our existing illustrators who are also busy working on new collections and you’ll realise we’re really planning a treat for your acrylic blocs and ink pads 

I want to show you an additional surprise for the lucky winner of our first Stampavie challenge.

You’ve all seen the prize, BUT…I just dislike sending prizes in a plain bag or box.  So this is what I made for our first challenge winner, Kay. It’s a 7″x7″x1/2″ package where the goodie bag was packed inside.

I thought that the Happy Piggies from the new Spring collection from Rachelle Anne Miller would be perfect for this little extra. So as you see…when you read “surprise” as a prize for our challenge, it really means surprise!

Of course we’re always putting some nice goodies together, but we like to add the little extra from the heart with a hand crafted something to go with it. I also wanted to let you know that I don’t have those extras in stock, but every time a winner gets drawn, I take a look on their blog and only then I sit down and craft something unique and especially for this one person as here at Stampavie everyone is special to us.

I truly believe that any person that gives the effort to join our challenge and then is lucky enough to be drawn by random.org, deserves the customized extra gift. Just as you have been sitting down, making the card for the entry-that’s how I will sit down and make the gift to say Thank you for your effort.

I also want to encourage beginners. You see, really everyone has the chance to win, so don’t hold back because you’ve just started and think that your card is not “worthy” to be shown off.  We all started once and if I look back on my first stamped creations ….oh dear lol

Here’s my project, a Shopping bag/book using the Leerè Aldrich collection.

I had great fun creating this one. The stamps are just so fun, easy and quick to color!

Before I got started I asked myself what does EVERY woman need?

A handbag, right It should be a handy size and fancy looking.

We also need a credit card to go with it, and what does every crafting woman need? You all know this…stamps, papers, die cuts, embellishments…the list is always pretty endless LOL as we always NEED something to add to our crafting stash.

Now what if the credit card says NO for this month and we need to be patient, but we’ve seen so many of those MUST HAVES…..then we need a notepad to write everything down so that as soon as the credit card says GO again, we don’t waste any time searching for all of those items again.

So I thought why not combine it all? and VOILA…may I present you my shopping bag/book.

Made out of 1/8″ thick card board and covered with We R Memorykeepers Tiffany papers, lots of bling, the unlimited credit card (I wish I had one) and of course the Leerè Shopping Girl!

Inside I’ve got the ring binder mounted and 3 different colours of note cards. If you really want to have your wish list organized, then you could add tabbed dividers and separate categories like “papers” then “stamps” etc.

DH stated that this purse was a cheaper solution than all those designer hand bags out there. (*grin*) if only he knew about all of the secrets the bag is going to hold inside

This card was worked using a sketch for the Friday Sketcher blog. I used some of the wonderful fresh spring papers that i have found in my local Scrapbook store. I wanted to show how cute the Sarah Kay images work for every time of the year! They just make lovely cards for every age group! The papers are modern but with the big “vintage” Melissa Frances embellishment i toned it down a bit. I added some Stickles to this element to make it pop out even more. The image is colored and airbrushed with Copic Sketch markers. I will give you the numbers at the bottom of this posting.

The card was created using a sketch found online. I wanted to use some of my scraps i had from last year because my local scrapbook store is not stocked yet with any new papers. I can not wait until the new CHA products are in for sale J. This pretty Imaginice paper is from last year and it is just so pretty and it looks wonderful with Sarah Kay the “Country Girl” image. The sketch asked for 3 panels.. i did not want to cover up too much of my pretty blue flower paper, so i embossed Vellum with a Cuttlebug dotted embossing folder and layered it according to the sketch. The white mat is cut out by hand but on the blue shape i used a Nestabilitie die is hard to see but there is some Stickles around the yellow mat for the main image. One flower (top right corner) is airbrushed to match my DP.

Other: Martha Stewart embossing punch, Nestabilities, Stickles and Prima Flowers, Making Memories buttons, Copic Sketch Markers and Airbrushing System
