Hello everyone! Today I am celebrating Christmas in July. I usually start in mid summer making Christmas cards and I couldn’t resist turning to one of the sweet Sarah Kay Christmas images called Noel Joy.
I stamped the image on watercolor paper, painted with reinkers and cut out. I created a winter scene with evergreens and snow for the background. I cut my frame using oval Nestabilites and mounted over the scene with mounting tape. I popped Noel up in front of the scene and created an evergreen spray at her feet. I just couldn’t resist adding a touch of stickles to the image and flowers for sparkle. It is hard to see but there is also some flower soft along the walk.
Here’s a couple other views.
You may be thinking that you have plenty of time to make Christmas cards before the holiday. I find that times runs away with me a little faster every year. While it’s nice and hot outside maybe you should cool down with some fun winter holiday projects.
