Happy Holidays. It is my turn to post today and I have a clean and simple card design using Sarah Kay’s Zoe Gazing at the Butterfly. Clean and Simple is not really my forte but I have been enjoying stretching myself out of my “more is more” scene mode. All of the Sarah Kay images are so perfectly beautiful and can easily stand alone on a project with very little embellishment.

I love the soft colors of this Papertrey designer paper and chose ink colors to perfectly match. I stamped Zoe on watercolor paper, watercolored with reinkers and cut her out. I cut the basket out separately so I could pop it up in front of Zoe to add a little dimension. The simple white scalloped layer seemed the perfect background to allow Zoe to be in full focus. I added a small piece of ribbon that I cut with pinking shears and shredded a little to give the appearance of Zoe sitting in the grass. This is a perfect card to send a note in to a little girl of any age.
I hope you enjoy your New Year’s Holiday weekend and wish you a peaceful, happy and healthy 2011.

oh Kittie.. so pretty! I too have a really hard time with the simple, but this looks so gorgeous I just may have to give it a whirl! Stunning –
