I hope you had a wonderful Holiday this year and found some time to relax. Relaxing? What is that? *lol*. But we had a wonderful Christmas most of the time. Today I want to show you a gift that I made for our family. Do you remember when Diane showed her wonderful tissue box cover here? I loved it and I really wanted to try her tutorial out! I had to change the sizes because the tissue boxes I found in our store wheren’t squared ones but I had so much fun! I made four covers (yet) and this one is made with a cute Stampavie image.
Oh I know, it’s the same Penny Johnson “Snowy Cuddles” image like on Diane’s box but I needed an image which is wintery and not christmassy. AND you can use this tissue box all year long, you can just move it around, because there is the plain embossed SU kraft cardstock (if you don’t mind that there are snowflakes on it). I didn’t add much decoration and I didn’t ink the edges (I know this is unusual for me) but I have a broken rib and aren’t able to do much at the moment.
I colored the image with watercolor pencils and Shimmerz “angel wings”. In the end I added a shadow around the couple with Tombow #020 and some glitter to the snow with a Sakura glitter pen. I can tell you that my family really enjoyed these cute tissue boxes and I want to thank Diane for this wonderful idea!
