with my first project for the Stampavie blog! I love to create non-card projects, especially little gifts to share with the people in my life. I was inspired by the “I Love Honey” image by Penny Johnson to make this honey themed treat holder.

Would you like to make one? It’s not hard, here are the steps…

1) cut 2 yellow circles about 6.5″ in diameter and 2 yellow circles about 4″ in diameter

2) trim a portion off the bottom of the 2 larger circles so you have a flat edge

3) cut the rest of the larger circles into 1″ wide strips, discard the top piece

4) round the edges of the strips and ink with yellow and brown ink

5) adhere the strips onto the smaller circles, these will be the front and back of your treat bag

6) Cut a piece of yellow cardstock to 10″ x 7.5″

11) score the long side at 4″ and 6″ and the short side at 2″ and 5.5″, cut in tabs and form into a box that is 3.5″ wide, 4″ tall and 2″ deep

12) attach the front and back to the box

Here is a view of the side

13) Attach a length of brown ribbon for the handle, using brads to secure it in place

14) color your “I Love Honey” image and mount onto a piece of brown cardstock. To make the honey shine, I covered it with Glossy Accents. I used a border punch to create the look of dripping honey on the bottom of the brown panel.

15) adhere some bee stickers if desired.

16) fill a cello bag with your favorite snack and place into the box. I made a snack mix out of Honey Comb cereal, chocolate and cinnamon Teddy Grahams and Reeses Pieces candies. YUM!

I hope this inspires you to make a treat for someone you know!

Thanks for visiting!
