Sarah Kay Spring Blossom gift box

Hi !

It’s been a while but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been creative in the meantime!

I’ve made this box as a gift to one of my stamping friends. Spring has finally arrived here and so I naturally chose Spring Blossoms by Sarah Kay in combination with the lovely fresh colors of the papers, Nana’s Nursery from DCWV.

The finished box

In order to show you how you can make this box, I’ve created a measurement guide. Note that you’ll need a second piece of cardstock as you won’t be able to get all four panels out of one piece. One piece of cardstock allows you to make three panels and the bottom, and from your second piece you’ll make the front panel with two glue-flaps of 1/2″ each on both sides.

Dimensions

These are the dimensions for the lid.  I scored the fold-lines of the triangular folds as this makes the lid more stable than normal straight flaps.

Here you can see a close-up of the window cut out using Spellbinders and inserted with acetate.
