This is my card for the Sarah kay Challenge Blog, which the challenge was to make a card in Blue.

I used a dark blue card stock as the base of my card, and then chose a K&Company paper as the pattern paper. I decided I wanted to use one of the Sarah Kays that I could color in lots of denim… so I chose “A kiss for Chloé” love those over-alls! I colored them with my Copics and then inked the edges with a dark blue ink, matted with the same card stock as the base.

How how about those flowers, lovin’ my new EK Success Retro Flower Punches. I have been admiring them for so long on other blogs, and when punches were on sale last time.. I got two sizes! I punched three, one large and two small out of the blue card stock. Then I placed them upside down on a mouse pad and with a bone folder I rounded the petals out, it really gave some shape to them! I then punched a small flower out of what was left from the pattern paper, it is the pattern on the other side of the dotted paper, and used buttons for the centers. My flourishes, die cuts from Quickutz, are also K&Company scraps and has a vintage script pattern on it and looks kind of cool cut into the flourishes and also the sentiment that is a Cuttlebug die cut.

I gel pen stitched down the edges of the card stock and the image.. then for some fun I stitched around the petals of the flowers… love how that came out!

Voici la carte que j’ai créé pour le Sarah kay Challenge Blog, le challenge étant de faire une carte en bleu.

J’ai décidé de baser la carte sur un cardstock très foncé, en rajoutant des papiers imprimés de K&Company. J’ai voulu utiliser un Sarah Kay ou il était possible de colorier beaucoup de denim, donc j’ai choisi “A kiss for Chloé”… j’adore ses vêtements! J’ai colorié l’image avec mes stylos Copics puis j’ai rajouté de la couleur sur les bords avec de l’encre bleu très foncé, avec un support du même couleur que le cardstock de base.

Alors, tu aimes mes fleurs ?  J’adore mon nouveau EK Success Retro Flower Punch. Je les ai vues depuis un bon moment sur d’autres blogs, et donc quand les punches étaient en promo, je me suis achêté 2 !

J’ai créé trois fleurs, une grande et deux petites avec du cardstock. Puis je les ai placés sur un tapid de souris avec et mon bone folder, j’ai donné la forme des fleurs.  J’ai ensuite créé une petite fleur avec les restes du papier K&Co, et j’ai utilisé des boutons pour les centres. Les flourishes et die cuts sont de Quickutz, ils sont très cool.

J’ai utilisé un stylo gel sur les bords de la carte et de l’image, puis pour s’amuser j’ai tricoté autour des feuilles… je trouve l’effet superbe!
